Editing
Ordinarily I simply edit in a Word document, but for purposes of demonstration, I submit the following samples. Red-highlighted texts are deletions; green are additions. It's very common in journalism to have column submissions from people who are experts in their fields — in the first case here, a personal trainer; in the latter, a foodie — but are not trained writers. Subsequently, their text can require heavy editing.
